About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Student Counsellor & Sales Consultant – Australian International Education who is passionate about helping international students achieve their education and long-term career goals in Australia. This is a consultative tele-sales role where you’ll engage with warm leads, understand each student’s unique situation, and recommend the most suitable education and migration-related services through honest, value-driven conversations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Counselling & Sales

  • Call warm leads who have already engaged with our platform and services.
  • Understand each student’s education, visa status, career goals, and future plans.
  • Recommend suitable education and migration-related services based on individual needs.
  • Build trust through professional, consultative conversations rather than scripted sales.
  • Convert qualified leads into customers while maintaining high ethical standards.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell premium services when appropriate.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Follow up with prospective students via phone, WhatsApp, and email.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, call notes, and follow-up schedules.
  • Schedule consultations with education or migration experts where applicable.
  • Ensure timely responses to inquiries and maintain excellent customer experience.

3. Industry Knowledge & Consultation

  • Stay updated with Australian education pathways, student visa processes, and skilled migration fundamentals.
  • Understand Australian skilled migration concepts including subclasses 189, 190, and 491, points test, SkillSelect, state nominations, ANZSCO occupations, and skills assessments.
  • Provide students with accurate, transparent, and reliable information.
  • Share recurring student questions and market feedback with internal teams.

4. Sales Performance & Reporting

  • Achieve daily calling targets and monthly sales objectives.
  • Maintain high lead-to-sale conversion rates.
  • Track upsell opportunities and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Monitor follow-up timelines and maintain quality standards.

Required Skills & Expertise:

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience counselling international students within the Australian education system.
  • Strong understanding of Australian education pathways and skilled migration fundamentals.
  • Proven experience in tele-sales, admissions counselling, or inside sales.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales pipelines.
  • Professional, ethical, and student-focused approach to sales.

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

  • QEAC (PIER) Certification or formal Education Agent training.
  • Experience working with Australian education agencies or migration consultancies.
  • Knowledge of SkillSelect, state migration portals, and occupation lists.
  • Experience selling digital services or information-based products.
  • Additional language proficiency relevant to international student communities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in international student counselling, admissions, or education sales.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian education and migration pathways.
